The Doris Meissner Innovation Fund will empower MPI with new opportunities to advance pragmatic and effective immigration policy solutions that work in the interests of all sectors of society. The fund will allow MPI to move nimbly into new policy areas and connect on emerging issues, even before project-based support can be secured. The fund is named after MPI Senior Fellow Doris Meissner, who was instrumental in the creation of MPI and in shaping it into the world-class, independent, nonpartisan think tank that it is today.

A May 15, 2024 tribute gala in Washington, DC established the fund.
